Mark D. Boveri was born March 31, 1960, and is a native of the South Bend area. He received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Indiana University in 1982. Mark graduated in 1985 from Notre Dame Law School, where he served as an associate editor of the Notre Dame Law Review.
Mark was formerly a partner of Barnes & Thornburg. From 1995 through February 2001, Mark was Administrator of the Litigation Department of Barnes & Thornburg's South Bend Office, and he co-chaired the firm's recruiting committee from 1997 through 2000.
Mark is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Indiana and Michigan, as well as in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He devotes his practice to civil litigation and has substantial experience in both trial and appellate courts representing businesses and individuals in disputes involving commercial relationships, insurance coverage, and personal injury. Mark is also a certified mediator in the State of Indiana.
Mark has been counsel in several reported decisions, including Beanstalk Group, Inc. v. A.M. General Corp., 283 F.3d 856 (7th Cir. 2002); Koval v. Simon-Telelect, Inc., 979 F.Supp. 1222 (N.D.Ind. 1997); St. Joseph County v. State Board of Tax Comm'rs, 683 N.E.2d 1379 (Ind. Tax Ct. 1997); and Transamerica Ins. Co. v. Henry, 563 N.E.2d 1265 (Ind. 1990). He is a member of the St. Joseph County Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Michigan State Bar Association, and the Robert A. Grant Inn of Court, an association of trial attorneys in the South Bend area.
Mark resides in Granger, Indiana, with his wife, Franci, and two children.
